How to personalise your balloons

Now we are getting more and more requests for bespoke balloons, personalisation is key now in most designs, here are a few ways you can personlise your balloons adding to your displays.

Due to the high demand of personlised request, we as a balloon professions are making more and more bespoke displays. Personlising or adding a design is a daily request. Here we talk about the different ways you can personlise your balloons.

Posca pens

Posca is a paint marker, these pens work beautifully on latex and foil balloons. They come in many colours and thicknesses, for more detailed writing and designs
the thin nibs work great, for thicker less detailed designs the thick nib can make your handwriting more curved and script - like. Posca pens are also used with a lot of balloon twisters to draw on their models.

Vinyl

Vinyl has allowed us to really personlise our balloons with bright bold writing. There is a few different machines that allow you to cut vinyl for personlisation. These machines also allow you to design and put an image on your displays. Vinyl comes different colours and finishes, you will need transfer tape to help you apply the vinyl to the balloon. Vinyl can be applied to latex, foil and bubble balloons giving an almost printed and professional look.

Glitter writing

Glitter writing is done by using a glue pen when writing your message or drawing your design by scattering fine glitter over the glue and removing the excess. As with the posca pens, these come in different thickness which allows you to have more or less fine lines for the font. If you already have a scroll calligraphy style hand writing then a thinner glue pen will be fine. If you need more practice with your fonts then a thicker pen will give you more of a natural curve when writing. After removing the glitter be sure to let the glue dry before putting it in a transport bag.
